our Service Operation will provide the level of support expected by customers.
Our highly trained experts, well-equipped
workshops with 174 work bays along with specially designed programs offer
comprehensive solutions to keep our customers machines up and running.
With our extensive branch network coverage, we provide Intermediate Level
Maintenance (Field) and Depot Level Maintenance to deliver the best services
and support.

We offer:
CSA - Customer Support Agreement (Parts & Service)
Customer Support Agreement (CSA) is an agreement between you and Tractors Malaysia (1982) Sdn Bhd, where Tractors Malaysia will manage your equipment needs. Tractors Malaysia will provide solutions that are tailored to suit your business needs and this can range from simple Preventive Maintenance Programs to Total Maintenance & Repair, to sophisticated Equipment Management Solutions.
Our CSA is flexible. Whatever requirements you may have, be it Preventive Maintenance to reduce risk on pre-mature failure, Fixed Cost per Operating Hours for cost control, Guaranteed Machine Availability to ensure zero unplanned down time, CSA will have a solution for you.
Through the CSA program, the customer will enjoy the benefits of better field response time, fixed maintenance and repair cost, lower operating cost, higher machine availability, more control over budgeting and planning and ultimately have enough time to focus on their core business, while Tractors Malaysia manages the equipment.
PM - Preventive Maintenance
“Maintain machine performance and lower operating costs with regular maintenance.”
A Preventive Maintenance Agreement will help our customer to maintain the efficiency of their Caterpillar machines at a lower cost, identify machine problems at early stage, and prevent costly after-failure repairs.
Through a PM Agreement, we will:

CHS - Custom Hydraulic Service
Today’s hydraulic systems are more sophisticated and sensitive
to contamination than ever. Caterpillar CHS is a detailed inspection
program for today’s hydraulic-intensive machines. It includes
performance and diagnostic tests, SOS fluid analysis, Particle Count,
and visual walk-round inspections to:
- Prevent pre-mature failure
- Avoid costly after-failure repairs
- Maintain peak hydraulic system
efficiency
- Enhance machine productivity and availability
- Lower owning and
operating costs
CTS - Custom Track Service
Custom Track Service is an undercarriage management program aimed
at monitoring undercarriage conditions and recommending suitable
options to rebuild or replace components at the most economical cost.
This program involves the use of a sophisticated Ultrasonic Sensor
to measure component wear by sou8nd waves. The measurement are then
charted and analyzed with the use of computer software. The program
is to provide customers with timely information on undercarriage
wear and remaining life and maintenance options at minimum cost.
MIP (Machine Inspection Programmes)
Technical Analysis (TA 1 & TA 2) is a Preventive Maintenance
program designed to pinpoint problem areas through systematic inspection
and testing with diagnostic tools. Technical Analysis enables customers
to conduct before-failure repairs and avoid costly after-failure
repairs.
SOS (Scheduled Oil Sampling)
Scheduled Oil Sampling is a condition-monitoring tool for all Caterpillar
engines and machines. SOS fluid analysis is the fastest, most accurate
and reliable way to see what is going on inside your cat engines
and machines. Through SOS, abnormal wear can be detected and major
failures can be avoided by detecting:
- Abnormal wear of major components
before failure with the Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer
- Engine oil contamination through the Infra-Red
Oil Analyzer.
- The presence of water, fuel and anti-freeze in the
oil
Fuel Pump Service
A Fuel Pump Test Bench for the efficient and accurate testing of
all Caterpillar fuel pumps is available at our service facilities.
With this equipment, the fuel pump and governor are tested as a single
unit and you can be assured that the fuel pumps overhauled by us
will perform according to Cat specifications for optimum engine performance.
Engine
Dynamometer
All overhauled engines are dynamometer tested to ensure that they
perform to Caterpillar specifications. During the test we monitor:
- Engine
oil
- Coolant
- Exhaust temperatures
- Turbocharger boost pressure
Undercarriage Rebuilds
Tractors Malaysia facilities are managed by skilled personnel who
are fully equipped with specialised equipment to rebuild undercarriage
components. All undercarriage rebuilding are done according to Caterpillar
specifications. Together with the CTS programme, undercarriage rebuild
can significantly contribute towards reducing undercarriage maintenance
costs.
Services available include rebuilding track rollers, carrier rollers,
idlers and segments, reshelling idlers and rollers etc.
Hydraulic
Services
Tractors Malaysia has invested more then RM1 million on a htdraulic
facility, which enables testing of all hydraulic pumps up to 200
hp.
This specialized hydraulic service is a one-stop-shop to provide
consistent high quality repairs and reconditioning of hydraulic
components.
The technicians are Caterpillar-trained and stringent
CAT reusability guidelines and salvaging techniques are enforced
in the workshop.
Electronic Technician (ET)
Tractors Malaysia has invested more then RM1 million on a hydraulic
facility, which enables testing of all hydraulic pumps up to 200
hp.
This specialized hydraulic service is a one-stop-shop to provide
consistent high quality repairs and reconditioning of hydraulic
components.
The technicians are Caterpillar-trained and stringent
CAT reusability guidelines and salvaging techniques are enforced
in the workshop.
CAT Care
Tractors Malaysia assists all Caterpillar equipment owners in maintaining
the highest standard of operational efficiency of their equipment
at the lowest cost. CAT Care School are conducted regularly to provide
operators and maintenance crew training and instructions on operating
techniques and proper preventive procedures and pratices.
